Gisele M. Michel, founder and CEO of Icatalyst Consulting, is an entrepreneurial, multilingual and multicultural executive with over 20 years of experience in leadership and management.

She specializes in helping both Boards and staff gain clarity about organizational direction so their organization can improve its processes and systems.

Gisele brings passion, compassion and vision to every organization she works with, whether as a management consultant helping to solve complex problems and improve performance or as an interim CEO leading strategy, goals and mission.

She has worked with for-profit companies, nonprofits and governments on issues ranging from employee relations, organizational culture, leadership development, community engagement, social justice, poverty, race and ethnic relations, LGBTQ+ rights, women, advocacy, youth, employment, global health, international development, peace and disarmament, economic development, mental health, family vulnerability, indigenous farming and more.

Her nonprofit clients span from large, complex organizations like the Family Service of Greater Boston and Justice Resource Institute to smaller agencies like the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn, Women's International League for Peace and Freedom as well as those with a global orientation like Last Mile Health and Grassroots International.

She has also worked with government agencies like the US Department of Justice, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Office of International Trade. She has testified in front of the DC City Council on matters of economic and small business development.

Gisele's past roles include:

  • Founding director of Florida International University’s Community Outreach Partnership Center and co-founder of the Livable Communities Collaborative
  • Director of Development and External Relations, interim Executive Director and Advisory Board Member of Rian Immigrant Center (formerly the Irish Immigration Center)
  • Co-chair of the City-Wide Dialogues on Boston’s Ethnical and Racial Diversity
  • Advisory Board of the DC Mayor's Committee on Women
  • Member of Strategic Planning Workshop for Practitioners, MAP
  • Member of the National Planning Committee for the White House Conference on Small Business
  • Advisory board member of Miami International Film Festival
  • Part-time lecturer in the graduate program for Leadership and Management Science, Northeastern University
